This cozy local gem combines classic American diner charm with a menu that offers both comfort and creativity, making it a standout spot for anyone craving satisfying, nostalgic bites.
Holiday Burger’s cuisine is a delightful journey through timeless favorites elevated with fresh ingredients and unique twists. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Pastrami Sandwich and its burger counterpart, the Pastrami Burger—both bursting with tender, savory pastrami piled high, melding smoky richness with just the right amount of seasoning. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial, the Holiday Double Cheeseburger offers a juicy, generously sized patty that’s reminiscent of classic LA fast food but with its own signature flavor that keeps customers coming back for more.
Start your day right with the Breakfast Burrito with Fries, a savory morning treat packed with fresh ingredients, or indulge in the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, known for its melty cheese and tender steak slices. Side dishes here are not to be overlooked, especially the Fresh French Fries and the real, battered Onion Rings, which have won loyal fans for their perfect crunch and golden goodness. The menu goes beyond the usual, featuring unique options like Okra, Hongos Fritos (fried mushrooms), and even a delicious, fresh salad option, “Es Una Riquísima Ensalada.”
The dining atmosphere at Holiday Burger reflects its rich history—smaller in size but rich in character, the vintage feel evokes a classic diner experience that’s both approachable and familiar. Many customers appreciate the restaurant’s clean, no-frills environment, which feels like stepping into a cherished neighborhood spot where the kitchen magic happens with care and consistency. The addition of a drive-thru adds convenience without sacrificing quality, making it a perfect stop for both dine-in moments and quick takeout cravings.
Customer reviews truly capture the essence of what makes Holiday Burger special. From longtime patrons like Susan Harned who cherish the continuity of great onion rings across generations, to newcomers discovering the unique double cheeseburger, Holiday Burger is praised for its hearty portions and standout flavors. One enthusiastic diner, Michael C, highlights the “best breakfast burritos in the valley,” while Ernesto Juarez appreciates the personalized touch the chefs bring to his custom pastrami sandwich creations. Though some have suggested room for improvement on areas like the orange juice and waste disposal system, the overall sentiment is warm and welcoming—complete with friendly staff ready to bring your favorite combo to life.
Whether you’re craving a classic burger, a savory pastrami sandwich, or a comforting breakfast meal, Holiday Burger remains a cherished culinary destination in Mission Hills. Its blend of rich flavors, vintage charm, and a loyal local following create a uniquely satisfying fast-food experience that keeps the community coming back time and again.

First id like thank people in the back prepare chefs cooks for building my creations Pastrami sandwich extra everything steak sandwich Something else I forget small shop with drive thru it's better drive thru
First time going in, burger was good. Second time going, got a country fried steak and eggs and was not impressed at all. Orange juice is bottled and they need a better system of where to throw away food & place trays. I was so confused at first of what to do with my trash. I had to deduct a couple stars. Would need to try more items on the menu but not sure that I care to. Otherwise friendly staff and clean restaurant!
Very unique little burger place that is tucked away in a rather random seeming location. The inside definitely has a great vintage feel. Looks like it could use a little remodeling, but it's unique and clean. The menu has plenty of options, but I settled on the holiday double cheeseburger. It was delicious! Imagine In n Out, but a much wider and overall larger burger. It had its own unique flavor as well, but the ingredients are nice and fresh, and the meat is seasoned great. I'm excited to come back and try some of the other things on their menu, especially their breakfast burrito. If you are looking for a solid burger joint, 100% stop by here and give it a try.
Their seasoned fries and burgers are great. They also have the best breakfast burritos in the valley. The drive thru is always a plus. My go to order is an avocado bacon cheeseburger combo with a side of peppers. Classic LA style fast food
I grew up in the valley going here and now it's a stop between families. Nice that a favorite place hasn't changed in over 5 decades! Their onion rings are the best!! Thank you for continued memories.
